Held in the picturesque town of Mtunzini on KwaZulu-Natal’s North Coast, the recent 2026 Nedbank Sugar Mac Festival offered something for everyone.

Held in the picturesque town of Mtunzini on KwaZulu-Natal’s North Coast, the recent 2026 Nedbank Sugar Mac Festival offered visitors good food, great entertainment and a chance to view the vast range of agricultural products on display.
The bi-annual event, started decades ago in Gingingdlovu to promote the country’s sugarcane sector, first included the macadamia sector more than 10 years ago in response to the massive growth in orchard development in the province that began in 2014.
This year’s occasion, which some described as more like a “country fair”, included live music, scores of food and craft stalls for visitors to enjoy and browse, as well as the latest in agricultural innovation and technology solutions.
Organiser Andre Gouma said it had consistently provided exhibitors with an excellent opportunity to network with clients while showcasing the latest in product and service development in both sugarcane and macadamia production. “Exhibitors say they consistently achieve strong, positive results at the festival,” he said
